French golf pro Nicolas Joakimides plays the Marterie!

Following the recent visit of French professional golfer Nicolas Joakimides on the fairways of the Golf de la Marterie, an article was published this Tuesday, August 16th in the local newspaper the Dordogne Libre.

"I have a soft spot for golf courses by the sea like those of Dinard, Etretat or Sperone, but the one at La Marterie counts among the best", says Nicolas Joakimides. "It's almost like the ideal setting. The course is very hilly and spreads over several water ponds, amidst woods of pines and birches, oak trees and gorse. It's certainly the most beautiful course in Périgord. I give it 19 out of 20."
